How did things go when you set up your new press line?

We think we were able to purchase the good machine with the advice and proposal from AMADA ORII.

"We opened the new plant in December 2012. The transfer press arrived in April, blanking started in June and we set up the new machinery and started operating it at around the same time the plant was completed. Until then, we had mostly used other companies' products for blanking of our large-scale lines, and it was the first time we had bought an AMADA ORII product for this plant. We were worried that AMADA ORII might not be good at working with large-scale coil lines, but during the design stage, you showed your strengths while incorporating what we wanted, and we ended up with good machinery in our opinion.
For example, one request we had was to add a function that we were familiar with from another company's products, and you added that for us. It was a good customization⁠; that function was combined well with AMADA ORII's existing functions. We were happy with the communication during the design stage and the way you handled the various things we asked you about."

How have you found things after receiving the product and putting it into operation?

We think it is a great merit that AMADA ORII machine can accomplish the jobs with always same required time and quality once switch is on.

"It was the first time we'd bought a coil feeder from AMADA ORII so we were worried at first, but it operates smoothly. The thing we had most been looking forward to after the design discussions was the automatic coil feeding function. The machinery from our previous supplier required manual feeding, so we were looking forward to automating that process with AMADA ORII's coil line.
With manual feeding, the operator needs to manually adjust the height of the coil when feeding it, but with automatic feeding, you can do that with the push of a button, which is very useful as it means that we can get the same quality in the same time regardless of how experienced the operator is."

What were your impressions of AMADA ORII's support framework?

Japanese staffs at Thai office quickly reply to the inquiries.

"Your locally based Japanese staff take what they do seriously, and always get back to us immediately when we contact them. We had no major issues and no complaints. Your rep visits or calls us regularly, even when there are no issues, and that thorough communication makes it easy for us to ask any questions that we have. Your Thai staff also keep an open line of communication with ours.
Our staff discuss detailed matters about our site with your staff and then report back to us, which keeps things running smoothly between our respective sites. We look forward to seeing even more comprehensive communication taking place between our respective staff as our staff here at G-TEKT Eastern become more and more experienced."
